Dr. Jillian Lee Wiggins and TEND Lab competed for, and received, the University Grants Program Award from San Diego State University in order to investigate the neural markers of treatment response in children with depression and anxiety. This Award includes funds to perform neuroimaging (functional MRI brain scans) with children who have undergone treatment for depression and anxiety. This study will allow Dr. Wiggins and TEND Lab to identify which brain profiles are correlated with the greatest treatment response so that they can begin to match individuals to their best treatment. Karen Schwartz is the graduate student research coordinator on this project.
